This sounds very interesting, Nicole. I am anxious to see what kind of tips and updates you have for us in the social media world!

I’m really excited about this. I have been asking about Web 2.0 with American Military University for a long time. I can’t wait for the day when I’m able to embed YouTube videos, create hyperlinks, and add fonts and color to my text my discussion board posts. The same technology that is used with websites like Blogger should be available in AMU discussion boards.

Thanks, Jeremy! I’m glad you’re excited, and hopefully I can bring you some useful information :)

    Hi Jeremy,
You already CAN embed YouTube videos, hyperlinks, colors and any HTML code right in your discussion board posts. We do it every week in the Algebra class and several of my other classes required it as well. Each DB is a webpage, so any HTML codes will work.

Please contact me through the university. I am an IT major who will graduate in mid Feb but I can help you learn how to do this right away. Nicole, since this site is not part of the secure APUS environment, would you please forward my student ID or APU email (embedded as required in this post) to Jeremy the student listed above? He can contact me through the university and I will forward all of the details to him.
    Thanks!
    Ann
