Most online classrooms have a chat or messaging feature built in for sending assignments, emailing your professor, and messaging fellow students. Since you don’t have the weekly face to face with your classmates, this is just another way to get familiar with the people you’re in class with. They may have valuable knowledge on the class topic, and it always helps to have a motivation “buddy” in the online environment.
