Interview with Dr. Anne Kennedy

Are all paths leading to law school the same? It depends on who you talk to. The typical law student may study political science or public administration, but what about English or literature majors?
Law school admissions staff look at more than just your grades and your undergraduate major, they also look at volunteer work and internships. So even if you start off with Hemingway, going into law isn’t that far of a stretch. Just ask Professor Dr. Anne Kennedy. With a background in cultural studies, and literature you may never have guessed that she also has her LLB (Bachelor’s in Law), and further academic experience with media law. In her podcast she goes into detail about her nontraditional path, and shares critical information that any law student should be privy to.
About Dr. Anne Kennedy:
Anne received her Ph.D in Cultural Studies–with concentrations in literature and pop culture– from Bowling Green State University, Ohio and her LLB (Bachelors in Law) from The University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has taught media and film in the Department of Film and Media Studies at Waikato University in New Zealand, and media and media law at Hawaii Pacific University, Hawaii. Anne’s particular academic interest in new media and new media law led her into online teaching and APUS.
