Do you spend a lot of time on Facebook? Well, now there’s a helpful Facebook app that gives you good reason for logging on, it’s called CITEME.
This tool is a bibliography creator built into Facebook. The way you use it is this:
- Install CITEMEon your side bar in Facebook, or as a block
- Perform a search of the book you’re trying to cite
- Copy and paste the search results into your paper
While this is a great tool, and free to use, it’s always good to double check the result with your papers guidelines; APA style, etc. Read on for more of the perks on this citation app.

This week we have chosen a great site that allows you to highlight text on any webpage on the internet, and it automatically stores it for you to view later. It’s like bookmarking a page, only more intuitive. iCyte is free to download and easy to use. Once you download it to your computer it places an icon in your browser toolbar. From there you use it whenever you want to mark up a webpage, article, blog post and have it automatically saved.
You can make notes, groups, tags, and you can share the information you found through social media channels and e-mail. This saves you time and effort when you want to reference the information on any page for classwork. When you want to use it you simply go to the site, login and choose which page with notes you were looking to use.
Just one more thing to make your online experience a little easier to maintain.
