What is Logistics?


This past month on “Road Scholar” there was a special installment on the Dave Nemo radio show about the supply chain network.

He interviewed American Public University Professor Oliver Hedgepeth on the meaning of logistics and how it was referenced as long ago as the middle ages.

Professor Hedgepeth explains that logistics is the moving of products, people and information. The role of the supply chain network and its historical footings, as well as environmental issues that impact supply chain logistics.
