I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter about this lately… taking a break from social media.
I find, that regardless of whether it’s work-work or school-work, I really need that brain break, and Facebook/Twitter are perfect for that fix.

Personally, I think it depends on the person. Some of us learn differently than others, work differently than others, and relax or get away differently than others. I couldn’t “fast” for 3-5 days (and definitely not longer)… could you?
