For Social Progress Refer to Your Timeline

In order to make an effective list of resolutions you need to know how far you’ve come.

Facebook makes it easy to review previous posts through their timeline feature. Some people may sift through the past 12 months to look at how their current relationship has developed, or how some of their friendships have floundered. Another suggestion for this feature is to view your progress through your degree program.

There’s no doubt that you’ve bragged about your grades through Facebook, but have you also shared some of your research? See where you’ve been starting conversations related to your studies, and where you told the social world that you were putting off classwork for the weekend. When it comes to resolutions for 2013 make time for social networking in your classwork. Some schools are encouraging more student participation on their social pages to higher peer involvement. Allow yourself to use these social platforms to connect with other students within your school, and your field.
