Education Options: Sometimes the Third School is the Charm

There’s an old saying “third times the charm”, American Public University (APU) was actually my second choice but third online school. After a very disappointing experience with not only my first school, but second school as well, there was no better fit for me than APU.

I am the first in my family to not only attend college but actually complete it. I’ve always had an interest in the criminal justice field; but not to be a Police Officer. That is such a misconception regarding this field. I chose APU to further my education in the criminal justice field to better myself not only for me but my son as well.

I wanted to prove that I can do it and if I can do it anyone can. I’ve gone through more trials and tribulations than I care to even want to think about but I haven’t used any of it as an excuse to not do something with my life.

APU offers more for students than any other school I have come across let alone heard of. How many schools have aids and advisers that respond to students within an hour? How many schools offer one on one tutoring with patient tutors? Not very many and I wish I had chosen APU from the start but I also would not have learned from that mistake either.

Also, how many schools actually try to assist their students with their previous schools issues? You have such an array of courses to choose from and how many schools not only allow you to pick and choose your classes but your instructors as well?

I’ve never been happier with such a school. Could I be happier with my grades? Yes, but you have to live and learn and take that experience to the next step. I believe in taking “baby steps” do a little at a time, and learn on your own pace. APU’s instructors for the most part are the most patient, understanding, and interactive instructors anyone could ask for in an online class environment.
