Even More Gettysburg 150th Coverage

We have already told you about some of the spots on Facebook and Twitter, as well as C-SPAN where you can vicariously follow the action of the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg. Here are some more spots to follow the events from Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.

The boards from gburg1863 on Pinterest features photos of events, programs, and battlefield locations. At the time of this writing, there are 16 boards with 307 pins. Of particular interest will be the Gettysburg Photos, Tour the Gettysburg Battlefield, and the Visitor Center Events boards. There is a new board for the events on Saturday (June 29) with 17 photos already. Expect much more over the next few weeks.

@visitgettysburg on Twitter is constantly providing updates, including a talk by Pulitzer Prize author James McPherson on this past Saturday (June 29). Expect to see updates on talks, walks, photos, and videos.

In addition, you can find plenty of people tweeting with the following hashtags: #Gettysburg150, #gburg150, and #civilwar150.

The Gettysburg Foundation’s tumblr site features photos submitted by visitors. You can submit your own, view, or search photos. Many are remarkable, such as this shot of the sun shining through the trees at Little Round Top or this view of the Copse of Trees with a remarkable orange background.

This image, along with five others, are just from the June 28 batch of submissions. Expect to see loads more over the next few weeks from visitors.

The museum and visitor center also have a Facebook page, featuring more posts and photos.

Finally, the Gettysburg Foundation has created a Vimeo account. There are only 13 videos up there now, but expect more over the next few weeks.
