The beauty and rarity of these types of events is often talked about but not often understood by many. To get a better understanding for the science behind meteor showers, how comets leave dust trails, and the scientific way to watch meteor showers we turned to Professor Katie Berryhill. About Katie:
Katie Berryhill is an assistant professor at American Public University. She holds a bachelor’s in astronomy & astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in space studies from the University of North Dakota, and is a University of Wyoming science education doctoral student. She is part of the Center for Astronomy and Physics Education Research (CAPER) Team.
